MTG announces new DreamHack management team structure

Friday, December 13th 2019 01.55pm CET — Modern Times Group MTG AB's (MTG) today announces changes to portfolio company DreamHack's management team structure. MTG`s portfolio company DreamHack has formed the new entity DreamHack Sports Games. DreamHack Sports Games has partnerships in place already today with Dutch football league Eredivisie’s esport-league eDivisie, with Swedish eAllsvenska and Danish eSuperliga – and earlier today announced an agreement with The European Tour to produce it’s eTour esport tournament counterpart together with game developers Topgolf Media.

Peter Nørrelund - who has served as EVP, Head of Product Development and Incubation and Co-CEO of DreamHack since May 2018 - has been appointed CEO of the new entity. DreamHack Sports Games is to focus on accelerating and capitalizing on the convergence of traditional sports and esports and traditional sports leagues growing interest to produce and broadcast esports leagues mirroring the traditional sports leagues and tournaments.

Peter Nørrelund brings a wealth of experience, a vast network in sport and a proven track record to lead our efforts in this area,” says MTG President and CEO Jørgen Madsen Lindemann.

Roger Lodewick has over 15 years' track record of creating, repositioning, operating and selling global digital and media products. He has extensive experience from TEAM Marketing AG, UEFA's exclusive marketing agency for the UEFA Club competitions where he centralized the UEFA Cup commercial rights and in 2009 rebranded the UEFA Cup into the UEFA Europa League. He later moved to sales, where he was responsible for the media right sales of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League in over 15 European territories and Sub-Saharan Africa. He has a degree from Fontys Economic University in the Netherlands and an International Master in Management, Law & Humanities of Sports from SDA Bocconi (Italy), Université de Neuchâtel (Switzerland) and De Montfort University (UK).
