About the role
Based out of our Stockholm office, you will be part of our Financial, Planning & Analysis team which manages the overall financial process, drives the forecast and budgeting process and interacts with all our companies to understand and challenges the operational performance of our companies. You will also work with other groups within MTG, primarily M&A, Treasury and Financial reporting. You report to the Head of FP&A.

Your responsibilities:

  • Together with the team, conduct solid analysis and monitoring of key performance on KPI, revenues, costs, risks etc.
  • Participate in the Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly financial reporting and planning for both MTG and our portfolio companies
  • Work closely with the different members of the Finance and M&A team and with our portfolio companies which are spread over our locations around the globe.

Your profile:

  • You have worked a few years post-graduation, either at the big four in audit or you have worked in controlling, consulting, or similar roles
  • You graduated with a degree in Business, Finance or Engineering
  • You’re highly team-oriented and understand the importance of collaboration
  • You enjoy adapting your style to work effectively within different cultures
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent English written and spoken language skills

Our office is in the center of Gamla Stan, in an historic building with beautiful views. We offer hybrid work, asking employees to be in 2-3 days per week for core collaboration time. We appreciate a great sense of humour and enjoy a down-to-earth and friendly environment.

About the role
MTG’s Chief Marketing Officer has a strong vision to build a best-in-class marketing services and BI center of excellence to support our portfolio of gaming companies across the globe. He is looking for an ambitious working student who wants to learn what it’s like to work as a global CMO and assist him in a broad range of projects within marketing and BI/reporting.

You will participate in defining the marketing strategy for the group and help derive the execution of the center of excellence marketing (CoE) which is part of the ‘MTG Flow Platform’ providing central services to the portfolio companies. The CoE provides services on marketing and BI, ranging from reporting and analytics to hands on services such as user acquisition or creative production over to integrations of the Flow Platform’s Marketing Technology. The team collaborates with various stakeholders within the portfolio of gaming studios to run marketing projects. You will also support in due diligence of M&A to understand the marketing capabilities and opportunities of potential target companies. You will also conceptualize, develop and create presentations with the CMO for an executive audience. The work is highly varied with a high level of flexibility and responsibility. In the role, you will learn about the differences of user acquisition and digital (performance) marketing across geographies and different gaming genres. You will also gain exposure to handling multi-million-dollar budgets with a performance-orientated objective.

This role will give you a strong insight into the global mobile gaming landscape as well as hands-on experience within business intelligence and marketing. You’ll be part of a team of professionals who support each other to succeed and who embrace challenges with a sense of humor. We are looking for someone who would be part of our team as a working student for at least one year – ideally longer –   and is looking for a long-term career opportunity after graduation. If you’re an aspiring marketer with both a creative and commercial mindset, this role is great for you!

Your profile:

  • You can prove that you’re currently enrolled in a Hamburg-based Hochschule, Universität or recognized Fachhochschule, pursuing a degree in business or marketing, or similar
  • You’re able to work approximately 20 hours per week during the semester, and can increase working hours during the school holidays, as agreed with the CMO
  • You have solid PowerPoint skills with an eye for professional presentation design
  • You enjoy analyzing data and have a strong attention to detail
  • You can multi-task across multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • You’re friendly and collaborative, with excellent communication skills
  • You’re a curious and have an appetite to learn
  • You’re pragmatic and welcome developmental feedback
  • You’re a self-starter who operates effectively with ambiguity
  • You have a global mindset and enjoy working across cultures
  • You’re fluent in both spoken and written English

Working at MTG
We offer hybrid work, asking employees to be in 2-3 days per week for optimal collaboration. You will earn 15 EUR/hour and we’ll reimburse your public transportation expenses. You will work from the modern offices of our Hamburg gaming studio, InnoGames, and interact with both MTG and InnoGames colleagues.
