DreamHack in agreement with Epic Games on new Fortnite tournament series

STOCKHOLM, June 22nd 2020 — Modern Times Group MTG AB’s (publ.) (“MTG”) esports portfolio company DreamHack has today announced the launch of a new tournament series featuring Fortnite following the entering in a new agreement with Epic Games. The tournament – with a monthly prize pool of USD 250,000 and a total of USD 1.75 million - will to be broadcasted live on Twitch.

“DreamHack has a unique standing and position in the global gaming and esports community, and we are very pleased to see yet another leading publisher acknowledge this by trusting them with production of their esports formats for their strongest titles,” says MTG’s President and CEO Jørgen Madsen Lindemann

Fans throughout Europe and North America will be able to participate, the competitions are open for all and not invite based.

The kick-off edition will take place on July 17-19 and July 24-26th and following each month until January 2021 will follow a regular schedule on Thursdays and Fridays.
