Modern Times Group MTG AB (publ.) (‘MTG’ or ‘the Group’), the international entertainment broadcasting group, today announced that Viasat Broadcasting has signed an agreement with Canal Digital in Norway to include the TVNorge channel on Viasat’s DTH satellite platform, and for TV3 to be made available on the Canal Digital satellite platform. The channels will be included in Viasat’s and Canal Digital’s pay-TV offerings from 3 March 2008.

Viasat will include TVNorge in its ‘Entertainment’ package, which is available as part of its satellite offering in Norway. TV3 will be available as part of Canal Digital’s ‘Norway’ package. On 6 February, Viasat’s secondary Norwegian channel Viasat4 was included in the Canal Digital DTH satellite offering and SBS-ProSiebenSat.1 owned channel FEM was added to the Viasat DTH satellite platform. On 5 February, MTG announced that it had signed an agreement with Canal Digital to exchange TV3 and Kanal 5 in Sweden on the DTH satellite and IPTV platforms. Hans-Holger Albrecht, President and CEO of MTG, commented: “Today’s announcement is a major event in the television history of not only Norway but the whole of Scandinavia. In October last year we took the first major step towards the final discontinuation of exclusive distribution of the major commercial TV channels in Scandinavia. Yesterday’s agreement with TV 2 and today’s agreement with Canal Digital in Norway signifies the end of that journey.” “We now have a complete basic tier in our Norwegian DTH satellite offering, and have ensured that our TV3 and Viasat4 channels in Norway are distributed as widely as possible, to as many viewers as possible.” *** For further information, please visit www.mtg.se, email investor.relations@mtg.se, or contact: Hans-Holger Albrecht, President & CEO tel: +46 (0) 8 562 000 50 Matthew Hooper, Investor & Analyst Enquiries tel: +44 (0) 20 7321 5010 Bert Willborg, Press Enquiries tel +44 (0) 791 2280 850
