MTG SIGNS EXCLUSIVE CONTENT AGREEMENT WITH FOX Modern Times Group MTG AB, the international media group, today announced that Viasat Broadcasting has signed an exclusive agreement with Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution to broadcast a range of blockbuster movies and hit TV series. The three year agreement is for the Swedish, Norwegian and Danish territories and also includes an option to extend the agreement for a fourth year. The agreement covers 'first run' rights to Fox features including 'Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World', 'Road to Perdition' and 'Phone Booth', as well as the rights to library classics such as 'Titanic', 'Independence Day' and 'Braveheart'. Viasat has also acquired the 'first run rights' to hit TV series over the next three seasons on US network television. Twentieth Century Fox's previous hit shows have included 'Buffy - The Vampire Slayer', 'The X-Files', 'Ally McBeal' and '24'. Finally, the agreement gives Viasat the rights to library TV titles and US Network TV movies and mini-series. TV viewers in Scandinavia will be able to watch this selection of hit movies and TV series on Scandinavia's leading entertainment channels TV3, TV3+ and ZTV.
