MTG and Telenor have signed a new multi-year agreement for the broader distribution of MTG’s TV channels on Telenor’s networks across the Nordic region. Telenor is the biggest network operator in the region and has 1.9 million TV subscribers, while MTG is the Nordic region’s number one video entertainment provider and also operates its own TV platforms.

The extended and expanded agreement covers the distribution of MTG’s free-TV channels on Telenor’s cable, satellite and IPTV networks in Sweden and Norway, and satellite platform in Denmark. MTG will also make more of its premium sports pay-TV channels available to Telenor’s cable and IPTV subscribers in Sweden, whose TV packages will soon also include MTG’s Viaplay video-on-demand service. And Telenor’s Finnish satellite TV subscribers will now have access to MTG’s premium sports channels for the first time next month.

This new and extended agreement with the biggest network operator in the Nordics demonstrates the quality and range of our content offering – from broad based TV entertainment to live premium sports. We will now deliver even more content to subscribers and even higher reach for advertisers than ever before.
