FINANSTIDNINGEN GETS NEW PRESIDENT One month ago, Frederick Rudbäck, president of the Swedish financial newspaper Finanstidningen, gave notice of his intention to resign. In conjunction with that, editor in chief Jon Åsberg, with whom Rudbäck has long collaborated, also requested that he be released from his duties. Since then, the parties have been working to solve the question of successors. Today, Peder Ramel, with many years at MTG, was named the new president of Finanstidningen from January 1. Jon Åsberg has agreed to stay on and actively participate in the search for his successor. Finanstidningen's new president Peder Ramel has worked at Modern Times Group MTG AB for almost 10 years. His most recent posts were as president of Viasat Sverige and earlier as vice president of Viasat Broadcasting, the business area that contains all TV channels at MTG. Ramel joins Finanstidningen at a time when the newspaper has gone from strength to strength. In Demoskop's most recent survey, the newspaper had achieved 75% of the audience reach of Dagens Industri, Sweden's No. 1 business daily, among decision-makers at companies with more than 50 employees. Two months earlier, that number was only 66%. For additional information, please contact H.C. Ejemyr, head of MTG Publishing, at +46-8-402 9900. Modern Times Group MTG AB is listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange's O list (symbol: MTG) and on the Nasdaq National Market in New York (symbol: MTGNY). ------------------------------------------------------------ Please visit http://www.bit.se for further information The following files are available for download: http://www.bit.se/bitonline/1999/11/29/19991129BIT00670/bit0001.doc http://www.bit.se/bitonline/1999/11/29/19991129BIT00670/bit0002.pdf
