Your Role

We grow passionate leaders and empower them to take the initiative.

As a Management Trainee you will spend 12 months working closely with senior management on diverse, exciting and often complex projects in areas like project management, strategy, pitching ideas, presenting and building partnerships. You will experience firsthand how we deliver fun and engaging content to consumers around the world every single day.

You are empowered to make business decisions and contribute to the growth and success of MTG’s products. Playing a highly visible role, you will be involved in strategically important initiatives, led by one of the members of our senior management team.

Andreas Olofsson Management Trainee to Arnd Benninghoff, CEO of MTGx

I hold a Master’s degree in International Business and Management from Uppsala University. Before joining MTG I worked with order management at Nike.

As a trainee for MTGx I work closely with the management team across our digital businesses in esports, gaming and digital video networks. I work with synergy projects between our businesses, on-boarding of newly acquired companies, financial analysis, business development and preparation of board meeting material.

MTG’s digital transformation is a very exciting journey to be part of, especially when working at MTGx. The ambitious investments in digital products, combined with MTG’s innovative spirit, truly makes MTG an exciting company to work for.

Caroline Erkhammar Management Trainee to Alexander Bastin, SVP and Head of Viafree and Viaplay

I hold a BSc and MSc from Stockholm School of Economics, and two exchanges at HEC Paris and Thammasat University in Bangkok. Previous work experiences are Marketing Project Leader at Klarna and Intern at Ericsson, Åkestam Holst and Kreab.

In my role as a Management Trainee I get the unique opportunity to participate in leadership meetings and to work with different business areas that gives me valuable insight into how the whole business works. I assist Akexander and the leadership team in preparing presentations and organizing events, and I am also responsible for projects related to specific business areas and the whole organization.

MTG is such a fast-moving company with amazing products that impresses me and excites me to work with every day. It is fantastic to work with the future of entertainment, and especially at Viaplay, together with colleagues who inspire me all the time.

Christian Vilselius Management Trainee to Mats Nyman, SVP Free-TV at MTG Sweden

I hold a Master’s degree in Marketing & Media Management from Stockholm School of Economics. Prior to MTG, I was part of an online retail start-up company and worked with bridging the gap between the offline and online customer experience.

MTG sees market and technology developments as enablers and not obstacles. Through combining market-leading traditional products with innovative platforms and boldly exploring new markets and media, MTG is constantly reinventing the formula of how to engage and thrill its audience.

Being a trainee allows me to gain insights into top management working processes, be involved in management meetings for the Free-TV and Viafree and also attend subsidiary executive meetings. MTG’s work environment is fast-paced, challenging, and it requires a lot of multitasking. I get to work with talented and fun people, collaborate with other trainees to help each other out through thick and thin, and learn immensely in the process.

Christofer Ewert Management Trainee to Jakob Mejlhede Andersen - EVP; Group Head of Programming & Content Development

I hold a Master’s degree in Marketing Strategy & Innovation from Cass Business School, City University London. Before joining MTG, I worked with digital video advertising, distribution and analysis at media agency Unruly.

As a trainee, I work on the content side of MTG, including areas such as content acquisition, development and programming across on/offline pay and free TV. My role is to assist the content team with everyday business to make sure MTG stays relevant and ahead of the game in terms of consumer/customer offering.

MTG is constantly in the forefront of innovation, leveraging from the digital transformation of the entertainment industry. Mix this with creativity, great talent, dedication and determination and you get a modern time group. That is why I chose to join MTG.

Julie Rosenthal Brydolf Management Trainee to Jørgen Madsen Lindemann, President & CEO, and Maria Redin, CFO at MTG AB

I hold a Master’s degree in Marketing & Media Management from Stockholm School of Economics and used to work in sales, marketing and communications at EF Education First and Kreab.

I help Jørgen and Maria in preparing presentations and material for the board meetings, events and executive leadership meetings for the business units. This helps me to truly get a helicopter view of the business as I am exposed to the many different parts of the Group.

Liza Torstensson Management Trainee to Bartek Gudowski, MTG CTO for Broadcast Ops. and Marcus Jedenmark, CEO at MTG Tech

I hold a M.Sc. in Product Innovation from KTH Royal Institute of Technology. As a part of my education I spent three semesters abroad, at the University of Bristol and at CTU Czech Technical University.

MTG Tech operates as a central technology and innovation hub for MTG, and as a trainee I get to participate in a variety of interesting projects and opportunities covering many parts of the organization. This gives me valuable insights into the respective businesses and how technology can develop them further, while at the same time giving me the opportunity to work with many people from different divisions.

The concept of how people consume content is changing, and I think media is in an interesting crossroad where new ways for showing and creating content are being explored. This is one of the reasons why I’m excited about being a trainee at MTG and MTG Tech.

Nathalie Liljebrunn Management Trainee to Anders Jensen, EVP, Chairman Nordic Entertainment and CEO of MTG Sweden/Finland

I hold a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from Lund University. Before joining MTG I did an internship at a global media group, and it was during this time I found my passion for the media industry.

As a trainee I get a unique insight into MTG’s businesses through participating in Swedish and Pan-Nordic management meetings. I assist Anders and the Swedish management team with a number of tasks, including presentations and business reviews, as well as manage various projects. A great thing with the trainee program is the cohesiveness you get with the other trainees in the group.

Media industry is driven by technology that changes our viewer’s behavior, predominantly online. Being part of MTG gives me an opportunity to participate in shaping the future of entertainment. It’s a great feeling made even stronger by the people I am surrounded with in this journey.

Sebastian Malm Management Trainee to Per Nunstedt, VP MTG Sport

Recently graduated from Luleå University of Technology with a bachelor degree in economics. Before I started at MTG I worked at Red Bull Media House in Austria with sales and business development.

I support Per and the sports department with a range of different tasks, from organizing meetings to managing own projects. As a trainee, I also get the opportunity to learn directly from the managers by attending tactical and strategical meetings.

I also get to be involved in how MTG Sport shapes sports and entertainment experiences in its everyday life. The best part of being a trainee is that no one day is like another.

Shirine Bauer Management Trainee to Sahar Kupersmidt, SVP Pay-TV

I hold a B.Sc. degree in International Business from Copenhagen Business School and a Diploma from the EngAGE program. Besides Copenhagen, I have also studied in California, US and London, UK. Before I joined MTG, I worked as a Project Manager and Business Developer at Googol Business Navigator and assisted organizations in driving opportunity development and commercializing innovations.

MTG is an industry-leading company, operating in a fast-paced market, with a very exciting and forward-looking portfolio. The media group dares to invest in and create the future of entertainment and constantly challenges existing operations to be at the forefront.

As a Management Trainee for Pay-TV, I receive unique insights and hands-on experience of the daily operations and strategy of Viasat. The days are never the same and the tasks vary from complex projects in different areas of the business to more administrative tasks. It gives me a sense of continuous development.

Each year we offer various positions across different departments, including Content Acquisitions, Technology, Product Development, Finance and more.

How many trainees do you recruit every year?

This varies from year to year. For 2018-2019 we will have at least nine positions in Stockholm, Sweden.
