David Marcus has notified the MTG Board of Directors and the Nomination Committee of his intention not to seek re-election as a Director at this year’s Annual General Meeting of shareholders. David joined the Board as an independent non-Executive Director in 2004 and is Chairman of the Board of Directors’ Remuneration Committee.
Nomination Committee Chairman Cristina Stenbeck commented: “The Nomination Committee believes that the election of Blake Chandlee would further strengthen the media, online, advertising and emerging market knowledge and experience of the MTG Board of Directors. Blake has worked as an adviser to the Board for the past nine months and is therefore familiar with the Group’s strategy and operations. We are delighted to be able to nominate such a highly qualified individual for election to the MTG Board.”
“I would also like to thank David Marcus for the invaluable contribution that he has made to the development and ongoing work of the MTG Board of Directors over the last 8 years. His insight and understanding have been a key asset in the evolution and successful execution of MTG’s strategy as the Group has changed shape, focused on its core broadcasting operations and expanded into new markets. We wish David every continued success with his other ventures.”
