NENT Studios is behind acclaimed works in multiple genres, including documentary, reality, game shows, lifestyle and drama.

A total of 32 different companies in 17 countries make up NENT Studios. The local presence means that we work with some of the most talented and creative people in each of our markets. This content is then available on our own channels and platforms, and is also sold to other entertainment providers in over 240 territories worldwide.

NENT Studios is behind such award-winning titles as ‘Midnight Sun‘ (2016), from the creators of ‘The Bridge’; ‘Nobel‘ (2016), available on Netflix; and ‘The Hundred Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared’ (2013), which was nominated for an Oscar in the “Best Makeup and Hairstyling” category. NENT Studio’s scripted series consistently climb to the top of TV ratings, with ‘Thicker Than Water‘ (2014-) reaching a staggering 28% share on SVT.

Content Distribution

Part of NENT Studios, DRG is one of the leading independent distributors of content.

Based in London, DRG acquires cherry-picked programmes from producers and other content owners and sells them to broadcasters and other distribution outlets globally.

Viaplay Originals

We create great stories for the entire family and offer top quality scripted drama, films and content for children on our free-to-air channels and Viaplay.

NENT Group’ first original drama, ‘Black Widows’, premiered in 2016 on TV3 and Viaplay in the Nordic region, followed by another co-production, ‘Svartsjön’ (‘Black Lake’).

In the same year, Viaplay launched its first comedy sitcom ‘Swedish Dicks’ and its first award-winning original for kids, ‘The Great Escape’, which has recently been commissioned for a second season.

NENT Group is developing and producing a number of scripted projects in a variety of genres, including ‘The Inner Circle’, ‘The Great Escape’ season two, ‘Those Who Kill’, ‘Four Hands Menu’, ‘Hidden’, ‘Wisting’, ‘Pros and Cons’, ‘Straight Forward’ and ‘Conspiracy of Silence’. Viaplay’s first IcelandicDanish and Finnish original dramas are set to premiere during 2018 and 2019.

International Distribution

NENT Group’s original hits are distributed internationally by partners including DRGLionsgate and IM Global.

Series from NENT Group are available on the US cable network POP, British free-to-air channel BBC Four, American streaming service Hulu and AMC Networks’-backed streaming service Shudder in the US and Canada.

SplayOne, part of NENT Studios, is a new Nordic powerhouse in branded entertainment and works with talented content creators across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Splay’s unicorn.me enables online influencers to build their own apps and connect with fans, while Splay also provides them with a platform to remain sustainable – GOsnap.

Splay Gaming, a YouTube community of gamers operated by Splay, extended in 2016 to a monthly Splay Gaming magazine published in Sweden.

Guldtuben Awards

Splay Networks, in association with Viafree and partners, is a founder of the Guldtuben Awards in Sweden and Denmark, the Nordic region’s largest annual YouTube gala and award ceremony that celebrates the most prominent creators of viral video content.
