The new national licenses enable commercial actors to broadcast to the whole country using a single license.
It’s great news for audiences, who can look forward to a more diverse range of radio offerings everywhere in Sweden. And for radio operators like MTG, a national license means access to a bigger market and new possibilities to invest in even more unique radio content that listeners love.
Every week, nine out of 10 people in Sweden listen to radio, with almost as many choosing commercial radio. These amazing figures reflect the medium’s power to engage and inspire – in fact, a study from UK research firm Sparkler revealed that a person’s energy increases more than 300% when listening to radio!
RIX FM’s mix of music, news and humour already attracts 2.6 million people every week. So who knows how far presenters Roger Nordin, Laila Bagge and co. can reach with a national license?
RIX FM goes national on 1 August 2018 (and if you just can’t wait, check out MTG’s full radio offering online at I LIKE RADIO).
