Each year on International Women’s Day, 8 March, WITsthlm offers everyone the chance to meet and listen to some of Sweden’s most successful women engineers, developers, entrepreneurs and investors. Since launching in 2014, WITsthlm has grown into a community, a platform and a movement with one clear ambition – to increase the number of women working with and in tech.
MTG has been part of WITsthlm from the start and will be a main sponsor of this year’s event, which will span a full day for the very first time.
“Equality and diversity are decisive success factors for our company and our industry,” says Anders Jensen, CEO of MTG Sweden. “Like all tech companies, MTG is constantly looking for talent and that means we need to be an attractive workplace for everybody.
“Many women still decide against careers in tech. This situation is not sustainable, and the industry must work together to create change. WIT is a great example of such an initiative and we’re very proud at MTG to support this event for the fifth year in a row.”
For more information, including speaker announcements, check out the WITsthlm homepage and follow on social via #WITsthlm2018.
As always, WITsthlm is free and open for all, both women and men. On 1 February, 1,500 tickets will be made available on a first come, first served basis to registered members – sign up here. And do it today – in 2017, all tickets were taken within just seven minutes.
