Fifteen years after MTG became the first media house to bring Disney Channel to Scandinavian audiences, the long-term co-operation between MTG and Disney Nordic is now taking on an extra dimension.
From 1 April 2018, MTG will be responsible for all advertising sales for Disney’s channels in Scandinavia, including TV channels and Disney Nordic’s digital products.
Disney operates five popular channels in Scandinavia – local versions of Disney Channel in Denmark, Sweden and Norway, along with the pan-regional channels Disney Junior and Disney XD – which target audiences between four to fourteen years old.
The agreement increases MTG’s share of viewing in the kids and youth segment, while offering MTG’s commercial customers an even better advertising product with higher security of delivery and a broader commercial reach. It reinforces MTG’s position as the Nordic region’s leading commercial media house in marketing to younger audiences. MTG Denmark will be responsible for advertising sales on the channels.

Disney Nordic and MTG already enjoy a close partnership across a range of markets and channels. Disney Nordic content is available on MTG’s TV and film channels, and on the subscription streaming service Viaplay. MTG also distributes Disney’s TV channels in the Nordic region.
