On 2-4 March 2018, thousands of fans will fill Katowice’s Spodek Arena to experience the very best ‘StarCraft® II’ and ‘Counter-Strike: Global Offensive’ players competing for some of the biggest prize pots esports has ever seen – $250,000 and $500,000 respectively.
IEM Katowice will be the seventh event in the Intel® Grand Slam, which awards $1,000,000 to the first ‘Counter-Strike’ team to win four of the 10 most recent ESL or DreamHack events. Top teams FaZe Clan, G2 Esports and SK Gaming are all in contention to pick up the massive bonus!
Just one week earlier, on 24-25 February 2018, the same venue hosts ESL One Katowice powered by Intel®. Poland’s first ‘Dota 2’ Major sees the world’s leading 16 teams battle for a share of a $1,000,000 prize pool and vital points towards the Dota 2 Pro Circuit 2017-2018.
And on both weekends, the world’s largest esports-themed trade show, IEM Expo, returns to Katowice’s International Conference Center. Attendees can check out the latest PC and gaming technology across 8,000 square metres of exhibition space, as well as three esports stages and the Intel® Experience Zone.
Tickets for all three amazing events will be released in November. Be quick – this year’s IEM Katowice attracted 173,000 attendees and 46 million online viewers to become history’s biggest esports competition.
